An experimental AI learning app exploring how generative interfaces can make following your curiosity more fun.

Beacon began as a private, local AI chat app and evolved into an experiment in learning through conversation. It gives curious people AI professors to explore ideas with, follow rabbit holes, and understand something new in a few minutes. As each conversation unfolds, Beacon explores what learning can look like beyond the chat box by generating quizzes, timelines, visual explanations, and other interfaces around the topic. I design and build the app end-to-end as an ongoing product and interaction research project.
